Janet Jackson complained to SOHH.com that Island Def Jam Records isn’t promoting her debut album for the label. Discipline has sold only 392,000 copies in the U.S. Two of its singles, “Feedback” and “LUV,” failed to crack the Top 30. “Rock With U” never made it onto the chart. An Island Def Jam representative told Billboard magazine, “Unfortunately we haven’t experienced the results we would have liked with this new album. But we respect and support Janet.”

The ENQUIRER exclusively reports that after a four-year engagement Jermaine Dupri has strong armed Janet Jackson to get married.

Sources say Janet has agreed to elope to Paris this Winter and exchange rings in a small, private ceremony.

“Jermaine told Janet that their dating period is heading toward expiration and he’s insisting they make the big leap,” a pal revealed.

Janet, who’s been married — and divorced — twice before is terrified about making another mistake.

But pals insist Janet knows Dupri is the real deal - at last.

And nothing says Ooh-la-la- like a Paris Wedding!

Janet Jackson is going back on the road. The Rock Witchu tour will kick off in Vancouver on September 10.

The early announcement is a short one. Only dates three Canadian and two US dates have so far been announced.

Janet has a lot to live up too, with her Rhythm Nation 1814 tour credited as one of the biggest debut world tours ever. That tour played 100 shows in 90 cities.

Janet Jackson apparently really does like “Feedback.”

The singer announced the “Rock Witchu Tour,” her first tour in seven years, yesterday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” launching in Vancouver on Sept. 20 and taking her around the world. (No specific dates were available yesterday, though a stop in New York is expected.) Jackson also announced a phone number for fans, 323-622-8139, where she will leave messages for them and let them tell her what new songs from her recent “Discipline” album she should do on the tour - presumably the single “Feedback” is already a lock - and what old songs from her catalog they want to hear.

“It will definitely be a big production but it will definitely also be something that I’ve never done before, that people have never seen from me before,” Jackson told The Associated Press.

Judging from her appearance on “Ellen,” Jackson is looking to bring new life to classics like “Rhythm Nation,” as well as some new choreography for her new hit “Luv.”

JANET JACKSON has heaped praise on the designer of her infamous nipple-baring Super Bowl costume, branding him a great “love” in her life.
The singer was forced to issue an apology for the 2004 “wardrobe malfunction”, which happened when Justin Timberlake tore off part of her corset during a half-time duet, exposing her breast to millions of unsuspecting viewers of the American football event.
British designer Alexander MCQueen confirmed he created the tight black outfit Jackson wore on the night earlier this week (beg12May08), prompting the pop star to come to his defence, insisting she does not hold him responsible for the incident.
She tells Fox News, “I thought maybe only half of the outfit was (his design), but I guess he did all of it.”
She adds, “I don’t blame him; he didn’t rip it. Alexander is so great at what he does - he’s a genius. I’ve loved him for a long time, ever since I saw one of his very first shows 10 years ago in London, which is where we first met.”
